Slag products: artificial stone GSTN (Giston)

This product is an artificial stone that does not produce dust by melting additives into the slag generated during the steel manufacturing process using an electric furnace.

Slag products: One of the most promising applications of artificial stone GSTN (hereinafter referred to as "Jiston") is the formation of "seaweed beds" through its introduction into the ocean. The mineral components contained in Jiston promote the growth of aquatic plants such as seaweeds, and it is expected to lead to the development of fish reefs through the emergence and spawning of various marine organisms. There are examples of successful trials where Jiston has been introduced into the ocean, resulting in the formation of seaweed beds.

Construction and civil engineering materials - molten slag products

Molten slag can be reused for various purposes by grinding it finely.

General waste and industrial waste, or the ash (incineration ash) that remains after burning such waste, is heated and melted at a high temperature of over 1200°C. The cooled and solidified product of this melting process is called molten slag. Molten slag can be reused for various purposes by grinding it into finer particles. When manufacturing concrete products, it can be mixed in as a substitute for normal aggregates, allowing for the production of various products. The slag mixing ratio for roadside ditches and pedestrian-vehicle boundary blocks has been set at 20%, and there are actual delivery records for this.
